Intergenerational LGBTQ+ Art Exhibition and Reception

Come out and enjoy some of the best our community has to offer at the 3rd Annual Intergenerational LGBTQ+ Art Show, which runs from Sept. 10 to 30.


A wine and cheese reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 7 PM at Creative Aging Network-NC. Sponsored by Carolina Aging Alliance-Triad, Creative Aging Network-NC, Greensboro Pride and AARP of the Triad, the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Esperanza Festival 2024

The Esperanza Festival 2024 is for everyone in Alamance County and beyond to come together to experience Hispanic culture through dance, music, food, and family. The goal of the festival is to promote acceptance, cultural awareness, diversity, and respect for one another. Enjoy live music and cultural performances, food, crafts, community resources, kids’ zones, and fun for all!

Join us in celebrating National Senior Center Month this September at the Trotter Active Adult Center by attending the Open House and Wellness & Resource Fair. Visitors can take a tour of the center, try out gym equipment, participate in various demonstrations, and interact with vendors and organizations providing wellness services and products to active adults in the community.

Bicycle Thieves – Carolina Classic Movie

“Bicycle Thieves” is an Italian neorealist drama considered one of the most influential films in cinema history. Unemployed Antonio Ricci is elated when he finally finds work hanging posters around war-torn Rome. His wife sells the family’s bed linens to retrieve Antonio’s bicycle from the pawnshop so he can take the job. However, disaster strikes when Antonio’s bicycle is stolen, and his new job is doomed unless he can find the thief.

Battleground Park Walks

Sundays, September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, at 9 AM

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park Visitor Center

Ready for a lively dose of nature and vibrant vibes? Join Carolina Aging Alliance and take a leisurely stroll along the 2.5-mile path while chit-chatting with your neighbors. To find us, enter through the New Garden Road entrance. If the parking lot is packed, just follow the road and park in one of the other auxiliary lots or across the street. Meet up with us at the Visitor Center, and let's saunter through the park together.


After the walk, join us for coffee at Green Joe's, located at 2915 Battleground Ave in Greensboro. It's time to lace up your walking shoes and join the fun!
